Description

As an FNR-ATTRACT Fellow, I lead the Physics of Living Matter Group at the University of Luxembourg. Our multidisciplinary team integrates physics, engineering and machine learning to study biological systems. I am a graduate of IIT Bombay, India (BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering) as well as of the Max Planck Institute, Germany (PhD in Physics). I was a Fellow of the Human Frontier Science Program at the MIT (Cambridge, USA) and ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Multiple bio-based, sustainable innovations, pioneered through my research, are at different stages of lab-to-market transition. Among other roles, I currently serve as a Board Member of the Luxembourg Society for Microbiology and General Secretary of the Luxembourg Physical Society.
