Description
François Koch is Luxembourg’s Limited Partner in the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), the world’s first multinational venture capital fund for dual-use deep tech, domiciled in Luxembourg. He also represents Luxembourg on the Board of NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic), which supports startups developing disruptive defence and security technologies.
Through NIF and DIANA, Mr. Koch positions Luxembourg at the heart of NATO’s innovation ecosystem, working with startups, and investors to accelerate adoption of breakthrough technologies. He also serves as Defence Counsellor at Luxembourg’s Joint Delegation to NATO, leading on Space and Defence Planning.
Before his appointment in 2020, he advised Luxembourg’s Chief of Defence on international relations and held posts at the Luxembourg Representation to the EU and the Egmont Institute.
He holds M.A. degrees in European policy from the University of Liège, the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and the College of Europe in Bruges.
