Description
Joe Falcone is the Chief Executive Officer of Haussmann 1864 Capital Management, an affiliate of Societe Generale (SG). Haussmann 1864 is the investment management entity that was created in relation to the strategic partnership in private credit between SG and Brookfield Asset Management.
Mr. Falcone has worked in the financial services industry since 2000; and specifically, within the asset management space specializing in the management of credit assets since 2011. Prior to his role at SG, Mr. Falcone was the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Chamonix Partners Capital Management (Chamonix), a New York-based investment management firm and affiliate of Natixis Corporate & Investment Bank (Natixis). Mr. Falcone co-founded Chamonix in 2014 and lead the development and operation of new, strategic businesses in the credit space. Prior to Chamonix, Mr. Falcone was Chief Operating Officer and Head of Co-Lending for the Americas at Ostrum Asset Management U.S. (Ostrum), a Natixis Investment Managers affiliate.
Prior to his role at Ostrum, Mr. Falcone served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at Chamonix. He also previously acted as a Managing Director, Senior Structurer for Natixis’ Gestion Active des Portefeuilles Cantonnés, the global legacy workout group formed by Natixis in 2008 to manage a number of the bank’s non-core credit and derivatives portfolios.
Before entering the asset management space, Mr. Falcone was a practicing attorney. He served as in-house counsel for Natixis, and as an attorney for the law firms of Saul Ewing LLP and Fox Rothschild LLP, where he worked on a wide range of public and private financings and corporate transactions.
Mr. Falcone earned a JD from Villanova University School of Law and a BA from La Salle University. He is admitted (currently inactive) to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
