Description
David Dana is a seasoned venture capital investment professional with nearly 20 years of experience investing in, advising and supporting venture capital funds, institutional investors and emerging fund managers.
During more than 15 years at the European Investment Fund (EIF), he deployed over €3.5 billion across 120+ venture capital funds, primarily focused on deeptech strategies spanning AI, Defence, Space, Quantum Technologies, Semiconductors, Tech Transfer, Web3 and Blockchain. He also served on more than 30 advisory and investor boards, working closely with fund managers throughout the investment lifecycle.
Drawing on both institutional investor and General Partner experience, David now advises venture capital firms, institutional investors, corporates and public institutions on fundraising, investment strategy, platform design and the development of high-impact innovation ecosystems.
Prior to joining the EIF, David worked in investment management at SGAM AI Funds of Funds and in Corporate Finance at PwC, advising clients on fundraising, M&A and strategic transactions.
A regular speaker at industry conferences and contributor to podcasts, David is recognised for his expertise in venture capital, institutional fundraising and deeptech investing.
David holds an Executive Master from ESCP Business School, an M.Sc. in Management & Finance from École Supérieure des Affaires – Université Paris XII, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management & Finance from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
